Have you ever wondered where you come from? Like, really come from? Religious beliefs, personal philosophy and even some historical anecdotes might sway your answer, but regardless of what you belief, can we all agree for the purpose of this piece that the fact that we're here is a beautiful mystery? The fact that we must count of faith or stern personal belief to account for the most important part of our lives (being born) is the coolest joke played on us (in a great way). Here we are, born into human nature with insatiable curiosity yet the one thing we have no idea how to prove is the essence of our very existence. Joke's on us!

When I sat down with Talia Peretz, we covered SO many topics, from religion to suffering to beauty. One topic was the discussion of where we come from - our Source. In relation to talks about beauty, self-esteem, sexiness and self-worth, our Source is the center of it all.

Now I don't want to get too religious or spiritual or whatever, because I actually don't even identify with a single group, but I want to share a truth Talia stated that I completely agree with.

Our Source - whatever you might call it - is beautiful, grand and perfect.

Therefore, as a direct extension of our Source, we, too, are beautiful, grand and perfect from the day we are born.

I hope I just blew your mind away as mine was blown when I felt this sink in as truth. It makes total sense in my head. For your entertainment, here’s a peek inside my brain: I imagine a huge galaxy full of stars and constellations that all of a sudden explodes and creates millions of new star dust, space matter and astronomical "stuff." The idea that there's star dust within me and everyone around me is something I can definitely live with. OK, fine, I'm talking metaphorically, but still, star dust rocks, pun intended.

Is the source where you come from good and beautiful? Then you, too, are made of goodness and beauty!

Now the difficult part is in knowing this when our minds try to tell us otherwise. As humans, our ability to think and analyze is what sets us apart from the rest of the animal kingdom. But it's also what dooms us because our overthinking sometimes prevents us from being natural.

Our nature is to love, to be happy and to share love, which is truly beautiful.

//

There’s nothing more beautiful than being close to a natural state.

//

"What in the world does this all have to do with Boudoir by Tutti?" you may be wondering. Well, I happen to believe that being sexy comes from being confident in who you are, and what can bring this sense of knowing who you are more than knowing where you come from?

//

When we’re rooted to something, above and below, then we have a centeredness that we’re able to shine from.

//

From a yoga standpoint, this is 100% spot on. In balancing poses like Tree Pose, for instance, you must be both actively grounding down with your standing leg and lifting up through the crown of your head in order to find that blissful balance. It’s exactly the same for how you live and how you choose to see yourself and the world. There’s a vast area within me that feels fuzzy and safe when I realize it’s ultimately up to me how I live my life.

I can be happy or not. You can be happy or not. It’s a choice. And to Talia, it’s also our only free will.

//

Our only choice that we can make is to find joy and to say thank you.

//

Choose Joy.

Choose Happiness!

Be Thankful that you’re here.

Appreciate the small things that remind you life is a miracle.

Connect to your Source.

Elevate your energy.

//

The more you elevate the energy around you, your perception of reality too will begin actually shifting, and then you'll be able to create a beauty that resonates with who you are.

//

My friends, if one single thing sinks in out of this entire article, let it be a feeling of freedom to be happy.

I want you to be happy - and would absolutely love for you to find it within - because that’s where you’ll find a bountiful, unlimited source of it at all times.

Approach the “within" with love... and all will follow.

My interview with Talia was beyond inspiring. It was actually quite hard organizing my thoughts into a single article because I had so many thoughts on it! If you haven’t already, I encourage you to listen to the audio recording above. It’s pretty much an audio version of an “Inspired” Pinterest board. It’ll leave you feeling happy, motivated and empowered. These are some of my favorite take-aways from our conversation. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do :)

Until next feature!

With love,

Tutti

My favorite quotes from Talia:

//

Beauty, more than anything, is about who you share it with.

//

//

I think its very important for women to realize that they’re beautiful, naturally, that they’re so beautiful.

//

//

Know that when you share your beauty - it’s a gift. What I’ve learned is that I can be myself and being yourself is the most beautiful thing.

//

//

There is something beautiful about realizing that every part of you is precious.

//

//

Beauty will come from inner choices not from outside influence

//

//

A huge part of living is suffering. Suffering happens so that we are able to lift up out of it and understand what it's like to have bliss and happiness.

//

//

It's usually very little things that are taken for granted - that's where the magic is.

//

//

Don’t be afraid of being yourself.

//

//

Anything that you express should be connected to the joy that you hopefully feel - to the joy that is all around you - to the miracle of existence.

//

//

Above all is to be grateful.

//

//

When it comes to the Source of all things, there’s a mystery to it, and that’s how it’s meant to be.

//

//

It’s everywhere - it's also beyond talking, beyond any rationality. it's the most eternal part of me.

//

//

It’s gratefulness, joy and then love and all is coming
