A {February} Pepper Brunch | Theme: LOVE
One of the things I love about New York, about social media, about women… is our ability and desire to connect to one another. That’s, in my opinion, why social media is as revolutionary as it is. It gives us the chance to connect with people from all over the world, with people who may or may not be a part of our same industry, with people who share our vision for the world, etc. The possibilities are endless.
This past Sunday I was featured at one of Style & Pepper’s fabulous brunch events as the expert guest, speaking out about love – in the way of boudoir photography. I had the honor and privilege to speak to a roomful of bloggers, artists and like-minded women who were interested in hearing how/why boudoir photography is the medium for my vision – to empower women!
It was delightful to spark a conversation with Jessie Artigue about why women are constantly battling with themselves about being/ looking “good enough.” My take? It’s all an illusion! We ARE good enough, we ARE beautiful enough, we ARE powerful enough. Through boudoir photography, I look to spread a message of self-love and self-acceptance because I think it’s within us all to unleash all limitations based on society’s take on beauty that we’ve created in our head. It’s ALL an illusion.
I support a healthy ideal for women, and that doesn’t come in one size or one set measurement.
Let’s join together in being kind to each other and, primarily, being kind to ourselves. Once we find grace within our hearts, we’re able to spread love, joy and acceptance, in a graceful way.
Here are some pictures, taken by the ever so talented Katherine Harris so you get an idea of how fabulous the event was!
Enjoy ~
