Couples Boudoir: The Vibe Shift

There is nothing more special than capturing the intimacy and love and connection between two people. I’ll be capturing it in a new way moving forward and I want to give you a glimpse into that.

Have you ever made eye contact with someone and it just felt absolutely electric? Like you’d combust if they even so much as rested a hand on your lower back? (I know I’ve seen it in movies loads of times— helloooo Heath Ledger in 10 Things I Hate About You!) There’s such magic in that and I want to explore it more in photography.

If you’ll allow me just ooone more pop culture reference… (Do I have any fans of The Office reading this??) Mindy Kaling once spoke about how the moment Pam fell asleep in a meeting, resting her head on Jim’s shoulder was one of the most intimate moments they could have shown between the two of them. It brought about a feeling that no steamy bedroom scene could replicate. It was a sacred moment.

I’m so much more interested in capturing this intense intimacy of everyday playfulness. The magic that happens between you in the small moments that go unnoticed. But I’ll be here to notice them, capture them, and share them with you so you can relive them over and over again, so you can look back on these images in your old age, and so your grandchildren can stumble upon photos in the attic one day and say, “Wow, look at how much they loved each other.”

The moments of sitting on the couch, one of you reading aloud. Or making breakfast together and holding each other while waiting for your pancakes to to turn the perfect golden brown. Playing a card game with take-no-prisoners eyes that melt away when your opponent leans over for a kiss. Or slow dancing in the kitchen. Intimacy looks different for every couple. What would it look like for you and your partner? What photos do you want to have to look back on?

The romance and passion and fiery intimacy can still be palpable even when you’re not in the bedroom. Let’s explore this intimacy together. It’s fun to celebrate your love in front of a camera during life’s big moments like engagements, but your love deserves to be documented in its small moments too. And I can’t wait to help you do it.
