How to Surprise Your Fiancé with Boudoir Photos
While I truly believe that the boudoir experience is the biggest gift you can give yourself, the photos that come out of a boudoir experience are such a beautiful gift for a lover. Though more and more women are reaching out to me to have photos of themselves for themselves alone, obviously there are many women who reach out to me to have a boudoir shoot done before their wedding so that they can present an album of photos to their fiancé.
But you’d be surprised how many women plan on giving the gift at the wrong time.
When I get together with my client after our shoot and she decides on what photos to purchase and what album she’d like the photos in, it becomes very clear that the images are verrrry spicy. Which is the goal, right?!
So many women tell me that they want to give their fiancé the photos on the wedding day or the day of the rehearsal dinner.
It’s nice in theory to give this gift on the big day, but think about it:
A) You’re going to have family visiting probably the few days leading up to the wedding
B) On the wedding day, you’re going to have precious few minutes to yourselves
C) You’re probably going to be exhausted on the day of your rehearsal dinner and wedding day
Do you really want to share this special gift and experience with your fiancé when you’re busy, tired, and surrounded by family? Probably not.
From what my clients tell me, the presentation of the album normally sparks some intimacy. Don’t rob yourself of this intimacy and steaminess by poor timing!
Here’s what I would suggest:
Before the wedding preparations begin in earnest, before anyone starts crashing at your place or before you hop on a plane to crash at someone else’s place… plan a date night for yourselves. A final date night before your wedding. It can be whatever you love doing, whether it’s in your home watching a movie or going out to a fancy dinner.
BUT… before the night ends, you should end up in your home and tell him you have a little something for him. Hand him the album and maybe even record his reaction to the first photo (I guarantee it’ll blow his mind). Then sit together looking through them and tell him all about the experience and how it made you feel.
And then maybe tell him how you want to feel right now. And let your imaginations run wild for the rest of the night ;)
